This week has been extremely busy for me and today no different. It’s a big day for me at work… SANTA IS COMING!! If you’re in Downtown Salt Lake come see him arrive at City Creek tonight! I can’t believe that it’s that time of year already! I’m exciting but it’s a little bitter-sweet that this year is already almost over.

Fall Fashion & Feminine Touches

And just like that... here's another Monday! We had a great weekend spent with friends and family, I seriously never want the weekends to end! Even with the cooler weather here in Utah, I can't help but add a pop of color every now and then in my wardrobe! I LOVE this feminine jacket from H&M ( I found it on the clearance rack earlier this year during the Spring! ) I am really liking the ankle boot trend this season so I've been trying to stock up on them in all different colors. I have grown to love the color Burgundy and these boots are no exception.... I wish you could see the inside of them because they have animal print fur that help keep my toes warm! These Multi-Color Patchwork Boots from Dresswe are a great purchase for these winter months. Like I've mentioned here before, I sometimes get skeptical purchasing things from overseas but honestly.... these boots have been nothing but amazing and I received them so quickly!

Thanks again to all those who read this blog, sending some great Monday vibes your way!!

DIY Pineapple Halloween Costume

If you didn’t see our couples costumes already on Instagram then… dun dun dun.. here they are! Better late than never right? This year we spent Halloween at my sister and brother-in-law’s house down in Arizona! The weather was amazing and I knew that I wanted to keep our costumes easy and in relation to where we were. I had seen the idea of the pineapple costume popping up all over Pinterest and considering it was one of my favorite prints this past summer, I went with it! I just used an old bright yellow shirt, some red sunnies, and green glittered bob-wire from Target that we found in the $1 bin! After a few attempts, I was able to shape it to look like the top of a pineapple. Koy threw on an old Hawaiian shirt we borrowed and Wah-La…. Easy couples costume. I know some people think that as you get older but I think holidays are one of the things in life that keep me feeling like a kid.

Lovely Little Jems Etsy Shop offers amazing handmade crocheted scarves—perfect for this time of year! I love this rustic red color. It compliments all skin tones and goes great with everything in my closet. Lovely Little Jems not only has chunky scarves, but they also offer headwraps for both adults and babies! Cabin Fever

Sweater Weather

Just a Little Update.

Why hello blogosphere. It’s been a long time since I sat down and wrote out some thoughts. I’ve been absent on this blog for a number of reasons. Mainly there were things in my personal life that deserved more attention than I had been giving them and it came down to prioritizing what was the most important to me. While I love sharing my creativity with others, I’ve realized throughout this past year how brutal the blogging world can be, even from fellow bloggers. As a blogger you work hard to put yourself out there and it’s difficult to find the motivation to express yourself when you know there are people out there behind their computer screens and phones actively criticizing your efforts.

Kudos to all the ladies out there who can have a thick skin and find time to blog consistently!  I have been staying up to date on all of my favorite blogs during my free time and I love seeing how creative and inspiring so many of you are. I’ll be posting more often in the upcoming weeks, sharing with you some of my favorite shops, fashion ideas, and recipes as we are finally in what I consider…..the best time of the year!
