Bye Bye 2014!

Another year is almost upon us, this year honestly has flown by so quickly! 2014 was a great but difficult one. I love setting resolutions but during 2014 I felt like I didn’t really accomplish any of the ones I wrote down…. Which is really depressing!!
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why we gage time in days, months, and years. Without a calendar system there would be no “New Year” and everything would just mesh into one, extremely long period. I love New Years for that very reason…. A new year creates a feeling of improvement, change, and striving to be a new person! As the quote in the movie “ New Years Eve” says…
Sometimes it feels like there are so many things we can't control, earthquakes, floods, reality shows. But it's important to remember the things we can, like forgiveness, second chances, fresh starts. Because the one thing that turns the world from a lonely place to a beautiful place, is love. Love in any of its forms. Love gives us hope, hope for the New Year. That's New Year's Eve to me. Hope, and a great party.
Wishing you all a great New Year’s Eve and a great year in 2015!

  1. Happy 2015! Cheers to a new start in the new year!

  2. I completely understand about how bummer this year was when it came to accomplishing goals, it was the same for me. It's okay though, this year is going to be great for you, for me, for all of us!

    Love, Lori
