A Lazy Soiree

This weekend was a good one but I found myself feeling pretty lazy! I'm one of those people who longs for moment to relax but then when I actually am, I feel like I'm being lazy and should be accomplishing something. I'll find a happy-medium between the two sooner or later, it's some internal conflict of mine for right now I guess! I spent this weekend watching our church's semi-annual meeting, General Conference! If you didn't know already, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! Twice a year all of our members (15 million to be exact!) participate in listening to our prophets and apostles teach us through divine inspiration. People participate all over the world via satellite, radio, and the internet. It's amazing to know that millions throughout the world are listening and being inspired by the same messages. There are a variety of topics that differ each conference and on countless occasions I have felt as though a talk was specifically written for me and the trial I was currently going through. Whether you are religious or not, the quotes and stories that are told by our church leaders are truly inspirational and provide great advice for how to endure through this life. Check out my Pinterest board, Latter-Day Saint Messages for some great quotes that have been delivered over the years at General Conference!

This jacket is one of my favorite thrift finds as of late. I’m pretty sure this was probably some grandma’s suit coat but I don’t care! I love the floral print and the way this jacket fits. I’ve noticed more and more in the past few months that I gravitate to anything oversized. I’d much rather wear a baggy shirt on than something skin-tight! Maybe the boho/hipster vibe in Salt Lake City is finally rubbing off on me.
